1. Always use a shoe horn when putting on shoes to prevent the mouth of the shoe from breaking down. Never force your feet into your shoes!

2. Give shoes a rest between wearings. Leather shoes should have one full day to dry out from the natural foot perspiration and should not be worn on two consecutive days.

3. Always keep shoes away from direct heat to prevent leather from drying out . leather should be allowed to dry naturally.

4. Avoid contact your shoes with chemical products, such as beverages and detergents. It may cause permanent stains to the leather.

5. Brush shoes with a soft bristle shoe brush to remove dirt from the surface of the shoes before polishing. This is to prevent the dirt (small sand particles) scratching the leather during the polishing.

6. Use only good quality paste or cream when polishing shoes to help moisturize leather and keep it from drying out.
